Power on/off Android with computer
Looking to put an old phone in my case to display stats. How would I go about making the phone shutdown and turn on with the PC? The phone would be plugged into a usb header on the MB.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any way to accomplish this..
I guess you could somehow get the shutdown to work on a rooted phone with some custom scripting on the PC side. But I really don't know how you would go about turning it back on..
That is what I thought. Was hoping there was some secret I way to do it though. It is a very nice app even with that limitation.
I was doing what you wanted but I was using another program to do that.
Now I use a rasp pi and a separate screen with modbros
On your phone keep the screen always on if charging.
Connect the charging cable to the USB on your pc.
on the motherboard select the option to turn the USB off when the pc is off.
I was using an old Pixel phone and the battery lasted me easily two days with the screen off, next time I started the pc the phone would wake up and continue from where it was.
